Obituary for Denise M. Vincent

Denise M. Vincent
Denise McIntyre-Vincent also known as “Na-Na” was born to Stanley McIntyre and Virginia Allen-McIntyre on February 5, 1960 in Kingston, Jamaica. She was the last of eleven children.

During her teenage years she had three children, Desi, Dionne and Damion McKenzie. In her late twenties she became married to Ernando Vincent and they had five children; Diandra, Dave, Desiree, Dahlia and Diamond. She also helped to raise two step-children, Ratty and Tanto.

In 1990, she migrated to the United States with her first four children. With the help of her older brother, Von. By the end of that same year, her husband joined her.

Throughout the years, she dedicated her life and home to others. She took in her childrens friends when they needed a place to stay. When she traveled back home, she met random people and did whatever she could to help them out.

Denise was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the backbone for her husband and kids. Her favorite phrase was I carried my kids on my back like a scorpion. She enjoyed having cookouts in the backyard for her kids, grandkids, family and friends. Aside from her husband and children, family was extremely important to her.

She became a member of True Disciples of Christ. She decided to give her life to God on October 21, 2012 in the presence of her daughter, Dionne. The baptismal was done by Pastor Smith.
Denise eventually became sick in November of 2007 and was unable to work or live her life the exact same way. Because of her strength, the will not to give up and the promise that she would not leave until her children were able to take care of themselves and each other, she decided to go home on February 23, 2013.

Denise left behind her husband, Ernando Vincent; her children, Destimona (Desi), Dionne, Damion, Diandra, Ernando Jr. (Dave), Desiree, Deanna, Ricardo (Diamond) and step children Sasha-Gay (Ratty) and Orlando (Tanto); eleven grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and lot of friends.
